The McKinnon Center for Global Affairs, a renovation of an historic building, includes the addition of The Global Forum, a dramatic new two-story media wall in a new atrium space and the modernization of the historic Choi Auditorium. Learning is public, both digitally and physically. Informal peer-to-peer study is encouraged in corridors by the inclusion of white-board walls and benches, while study areas have greater transparency, overlooking the lecture theatre and the atrium/media wall. The increase in opportunities for engagement leads to more interaction of ideas and people across the Center’s community.

Susan contributed to the project in all phases of the design including interior conceptual design and development, finishes, custom paneling, selection of fixed furniture, and assisted with construction coordination. This project was accomplished while working at Belzberg Architects.
