Budget : What?  How?  One of the first things Susan did was give us a soft budget and a global understanding of what we could expect based on our needs.  Super helpful in setting up expectations and helping with the following:
Taste : My husband and I have rather different taste in almost everything except food (so it works).  We also have different ideas about where to shop for home goods (hint: Amazon isn’t meant for everything).  Susan has the most incredible resources! Our house is very modern (my husband), but we wanted a HOME we could build a family in that felt warm.  That meant a lot of compromising on styles, but also help identifying a unifying style that would do all things.  SUSAN!!  She is a wizard.  She not only was a relationship counselor for home-good shopping, but she also has a spectacular ability to hone in on a style that fits everyone’s needs.  
Personal touches : We don’t want to live in a hotel.  We want to come home and feel like it’s ours even if we need the help of a professional.  Susan helped us (and is still helping us) inject all the super intimate and personal details into our home that make us excited to be there.
Patience : You need this.  She has it.
